Flamenco Biennial of Sevilla 2012
Flamenco Biennial of Sevilla 2012 will be held from September 3rd to 30th with the slogan
‘De cuerpo y alma’ (‘With Body and Soul’) will host up to 70 different shows, 20 of which are world premieres.
Teatro Lope de Vega, The Teatro Maestranza, Teatro Central, the Alameda Theatre, the Hotel Triana, established locations for Seville's Biennial events, will host various flamenco and musical related events, but new locations, such as the new FIBES auditorium, the CICUS (Cultural Enterprise Centre at the University of Seville) and the Santa Clara “Space”, headquarters of the Flamenco Biennial, and especially chosen for of the “Recitals in the Convent” concerts.
Flamenco comes out to the street. Seville’s Bienal de Flamenco 2012 doesn’t limit its program to the city’s top stages. The related activities program stresses making cante, baile and toque come outside to the encounter with the public. Seville’s Symphony Orchestra will offer a concert at Metropol Parasol.
